Our Firm
Leader Capital was founded by John Lekas in 1997 and began managing fixed income mutual funds in 2005. The firm is based in Portland, Oregon and is 100% employee owned. Founder John Lekas is an Oregon native. He grew up in Portland, Oregon and attended the University of Oregon studying finance. He paid his way through college by fighting forest fires and working on fishing boats and in lumber mills. After landing a broker job at A.G. Edwards & Sons in 1986, Lekas studied the markets and worked his way up to portfolio manager at Smith Barney and eventually opened his own investment advisory. In 2005, his career took another twist when he opted to move away from individual accounts and launch a mutual fund.

Mr. Lekas began his career at A.G. Edwards & Sons in 1986. In 1993, he entered the Portfolio Management Program at Smith Barney. In 1997 he started Leader Capital Corp, a Registered Investment Advisory and Broker-Dealer. Mr. Lekas has over 30 years of investment experience and has managed fixed income securities on a discretionary basis for over 19 years.
Candy Dillon
Senior Operations Manager & General Principal
Candy joined Leader Capital in 2000. She has over 20 years experience in the financial industry. She graduated from Hope College in Holland, MI.
Slavik Kolesnik
Portfolio Manager
Slavik Kolesnik serves as a Portfolio Manager at Leader Capital Corp, having previously worked at J.P. Morgan Chase. Joining Leader Capital Corp. in 2018, Slavik concentrates on improving portfolio performance. He graduated from Clark College in Vancouver, WA.
Alla Allen
Administrator
Alla, joined Leader Capital in 2022. She was born in Kyiv, Ukraine. She immigrated to the United States in 1995 and subsequently became an American citizen. Alla attended Portland State University graduating with a degree in Business Administration: Marketing and General Management. She then obtained a Master of Arts in Foreign Languages degree from Portland State in German.

Martin Kehoe
Independent Director
Has approximately 30 years of experience in real estate development. Mr. Kehoe is the owner of Kehoe Northwest Properties, one of the largest residential and commercial real estate development companies in the state of Oregon. After founding his company in 1989, it has developed over a half a billion dollars of real estate. His experience offers an extensive understanding of the factors driving the market and bring an entrepreneurial spirit to the Board.
Raymond A. Davis
Independent Director
Has nearly 26 years of professional experience as a United States Army soldier, private security employee and government contractor. Mr. Davis obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in security management with an emphasis on international security. He has an extensive military background and is a decorated Green Beret. His considerable knowledge of operational and management issues makes him an exceptional addition to the Board. Wikipedia Page
